If you are an entrepreneur, who produces goods and need to have them delivered to your customers/Clients, You will be familiar with the importance of  Logistics and how essential it is to outsource your dispatch and delivery job to a very efficient organization or company.

1 Stop logistics came into being, to proffer quick and lasting solutions to logistic issues experienced by most businesses right here in Nigeria. KMB had a chit chat eith the CEO of the company and he enlightened us more about his brand,and his journey as an entrepreneur read below;

Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?

1 Stop logistics: My name is Famuyiwa Oyewole. AKA Mr Logistics (a client actually gave me the name due to my efficiency in this field).
I obtained my bachelor degree from university of Lagos (pol. Sci.) and went further to do my masters at Birmingham City University to study Management and International business.
My hobbies are research, travelling, and meeting people.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?

1 Stop logistics: I am into logistics/ courier services (pick up and drop off services)

Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired your going into this field and why this in particular?

1 Stop logistics: During my masters’ degree program, my final dissertation focused on challenges faced by online businesses in Nigeria, one of the major challenges was logistics.
SO, on getting back to Nigeria, the first job I took was that of a logistic consultant.
After occupying a top position at the company, I decided to go solo and start my own logistics company.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the name of your brand and how old is it?

1 Stop logistics: Founded in 2015, 1Stop Logistics is a registered business logistics unit of AKINJOBS NIG. LTD. which specializes in offering pocket friendly dispatch, courier and delivery services to Large, Small and Medium scale business enterprises in line with global best practices at highly affordable rates within Lagos state and environs

Kemi Mobuse blog: What major challenges have you had to deal with inception?

1 Stop logistics: One of the major challenges we are dealing with right now is; the increase in the price of PMS.. Our charges are based on the previous pump price now with about 60-70 percent in pump price. It has affected our income.. But at the moment I don’t want to interfere with the previous charges. I will leave the charges as it is for now and see how it goes in about a month or 2.

Another challenge is that of; Human Resources…
Most of the riders you see out there only know how to ride bikes with no experience in dispatch job. It’s actually two different things. And most of these guys they tend to manipulate their CV or Resume to appear more professional and experienced but, once they start the job you will then notice they are not what they claim to be. One way I have been able to fix this is; to try and spend more time in looking for the right rider through a referral because, most of the job sites don’t really have people looking for dispatch job.

And being that, we are still a young brand, the chief operating officer, had to multitask and assume various roles at once.
Another challenge is; as a dispatch company, we are always on the move and Lagos being filled with rough drivers, prompted us to get our bikes and riders insured incase of any form of accident.

Kemi Mobuse blog: How has the market reception been, then versus now?

1 Stop logistics: Well so far so good, the reception has been great just with few challenges. We have been learning and gaining more experience on the job on a daily basis.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What can you say; being an entrepreneur has taught you?

1 Stop logistics: Being an entrepreneur has taught me to be a fast thinker, being able to profound solution on the spot, and to be polite but firm, when dealing with difficult clients.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Like what and what does your item for dispatch encompass?

1 Stop logistics: Basically, here’s how we work, we only do pickup and delivery service

We pick up same day and deliver same day

We don’t stock or sort items for clients.

In order not to have left over of deliveries we try as much as possible to only accommodate the pickup and deliveries we can achieve that day, so we have a policy whereby you need to notify us 24 hours ahead, for a pick up.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Any advice for upcoming entrepreneurs?

1 Stop logistics: My advice for upcoming entrepreneurs is to be diligent, humble, consistent, and always follow your dreams. Be passionate, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
