By Kemi Mobuse - Wednesday, May 04, 2016

While looking around on Instagram as usual, I happened across a page; Start up stories, akin to what I do right here on my blog, some of these stories are really inspiring and i thought, I will share a few, to encourage someone out there....One of the special ones I saw is that of this guy.....

His name is Alex Peter and he is a gifted artist. He shared his wonderful story with me and i would love you to read and get inspired! Do enjoy and don't forget to drop your comments below!

I am Alex Peter, a  23-year old  Nigerian who resides at Abuja. I am also  an Accounting under-graduate and of course, gifted with artistic skills.  I actually haven't set up a company for my art because of school yet. But my brand name is "XTINEALEXPEN" which is basically about portrait drawings and woodburning art.

I got motivated to start the brand when i noticed that people usually gave great comments about my works online. The rate of the comments actually inspired me to step up and push harder. I also got motivated when i viewed the works of other great Artists. The reality that these artists captured in their drawings made me understand that i still had a lot to learn and that gave me a focus. Now, when i see how my work put smiles on people faces, i feel joyful.

The major challenge i have had with my brand is my academics. When i am in school, i rarely have much time to work. It's  not easy combining my academics and artwork. Another challenge that i have had is the lack of materials. But, by God's grace, that will be solved.

I aspire to set up an Art Gallery soon enough. I intend to make something big from my artwork although school is actually a top priority for me at this moment.

My advice for other startup owners is that they should always have it in mind that "Talent is never enough". You shouldn't be lazy or scared to work, because i believe everybody starts from somewhere. Also, money shouldn't be the main aim when you want to work, let your passion drive you, stay alive and remain hardworking,  you will definitely be productive.
