Yayyyyyyyy! Free Fashion school training up for Grabs as we clock 5 years old - TFP....

By Kemi Mobuse - Monday, April 04, 2016

I was new in Ibadan, I had less than 5 people as customers/ clients in Ibadan. I had not grown up in this city, my family doesn't even live here, but I wanted to set up in Ibadan. I started looking for space, I found a space in the quiet part of Adamasingba complex where there was almost no human traffic, half of the shops in the row were locked.

People came to me and said, why will you get a shop space in this quiet place where nobody walks by, how will you get customers, how will people know you?

I was almost worried, but I went to God in prayers and said to Him, dear lord, you fave me this talent, this skill, this passion, this business, but I give it back to you. From today Lord, TFP is not mine but yours Lord , handle your business Jesus and I just sat back to do my thing.

I tell you my people, whatever you have, especially if the vision seems too big for you, just hand it over to God!

I can categorically say that from the day of inception when we had our opening 1st April 2011 till date, the business has never lacked customers or financing. At every stage God has been faithful.

I didn't have any basic capital when I started, I struggled to pay the rent, I really did struggle. I had 2 black head machines in the workroom and did some demarcation so you won't see the workroom. That was all I started with. I will get to the shop then, latest by 7am and won't leave till night... I was ready to out in all the work.
At a time, the security guards started complaining that I spend too long at the shop. Sunday after church , I am at the shop. That was all the life I lived then. When there was no receptionist, I will sweep, mop, wipe surfaces and scrub the floors early before other people arrive so they won't see me do it. When there was no tailor, I will sew 24 hours, non stop, taking occasional naps on the sewing machine while I sew, I wanted to deliver, I had to!
Looking back, I wonder where I got the energy from then. I didn't have a car oo, hoping from bike to bike, delivering to customers, shopping for fabrics.
But the hard work met the blessings of God. Work without God is nothing!

Oh my how we have grown... I marvel at how far God has brought us.. The space in Adamasingba was really small, when I go there now, I keep wondering how we were able to fit in.😀😀 When we got our new space last year, I was excited cos I thought it was all the space we will ever need.
A whole building! Upstairs, downstairs, massive sewing room, massive cutting room, eating area for students, nice reception room, 6 standard rooms for hostel all ensuite, tailors workroom, so much space! The whole compound to ourselves! I was excited... Too happy.. But as I speak, I marvel and smile in appreciation, that same space is now too small for us. We struggle to have space for more machines. Rooms are not enough for students again.

Dear Lord, 5 years down, forever to go, I am grateful oooo...
Which of the mercies of the Lord can we do without... None!
I hardly do paid adverts, but God has been our mouthpiece. He set us out and different amongst others.
We are showing our appreciation to God almighty. I am giving 2 people free fashion training at TFP. Each scholarship is worth about 150,000 naira.
