Its not everyday, after finishing up with schooling abroad, that, you decide to set out for Nigeria, and got lucky to start a business right away, yet, that is exactly what the CEO of L&L foods did.
On his arrival in the country, he took time to study the Nigerian markets locally, and what he discovered, made him launch his brand, and guess what, he did? He went into the production of Peanuts, yea, you heard me right! Peanut and its a huge success.

KMB had a sit down with him, below are excerpts from his interview:

Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?What do you do?

Mr Ekpa: My name is Lanre Ladipo and I am the COO of L&L foods. L&L foods is a packaging n processing company. And we focus on FMCG

Mr Ekpa: (Fact moving consumer goods)

Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired your going into this field?

Mr Ekpa: Well, while in school I studied business administration marketing and Entrepreneurship. Moving back to Nigeria from the states I and my partner realized that there was a market for peanuts that wasn't filled locally. Most of the peanuts sold in Nigeria were made by International companies so we decided to create a market for locally-made peanuts

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the name of your brand? And how old is it?

Mr Ekpa: Our products name is Mr Ekpa and it has been around for 6months now.

Kemi Mobuse blog: How has the market reception been?

Mr Ekpa: The market reception has been good.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Is your brand about peanuts alone?

Mr Ekpa: Yes, Right now our main focus is on peanuts.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What has been an entrepreneur taught you?

Mr Ekpa: Personally being an entrepreneur in Nigeria has taught me to stay focused believe in yourself and strive to accomplish your goals, sometimes it may seem like an uphill battle but in the long run it's worth it.

Kemi Mobuse blog: And what advice can you offer upcoming entrepreneurs?

Mr Ekpa: I would advise any upcoming entrepreneurs to partner with people do the due diligence before going into any business and stay focused
Don't allow other people's success to distract you from your goals
