Acquiring an education alone, several entrepreneurs have discovered is no longer the only key to being successful, if not followed up by practical knowledge .
I think those who advance the furthest in life tend to be
those who acquire knowledge at both ends of the spectrum and acquire it in a
variety of ways.
It was therefore a good thing for the CEO of Outfit by Edein, to take her Father's advice and got practical experience even while Schooling, since that was how, she discovered her talent for fashion designing.
She granted an interview to KMB where she talked about her brand journey...excerpts below;
KMB: Can we meet you? What do you do?
Edeinmoma: I’m Mrs

outfit by Edein

you decided you want to become a fashion designer?
Edeinmoma: Okay,
since I was young, my father had always
told us we must learn something aside from going to school, we used to help him
in d workshop during our holidays until
we finished ssce...so I got to know that, I have the ability to design/ create
something..So, when I was in 100l, I developed more interest in fashion... and
I went ahead to learn fashion designing
KMB:Did you go to a Fashion School or learnt elsewhere?
Edeinmoma:
Initially, I learnt from my mom’s tailor, and then I later went to a fashion
school before going for my NYSC.
KMB: Where do you get inspiration for your
designs?

pictures, fabric and prints.

KMB: How has the market reception been?
Edeinmoma: So
far, it’s been good because people now appreciate things done in Nigeria.
KMB: What major challenges have you
experienced since inception?
Edeinmoma: There are
so many challenges in fashion designing, but to me, the most challenging is not
getting a desired fabric.
KMB: What can you say those challenges taught you?

learnt to start my search for fabric early enough, and also, I order for some
if I don't see it in Nigeria.

from my clients.
