Combining your daily 9-5 job with a business of your own is an almost impossible herculean task, but like they say, nothing is absolutely impossible, especially, if you have a strong passion for what to do, it seems more like you enjoying your hobby and you being paid for it.

The CEO of Bymbyzleevents, (that's a mouthful,lol!) did it, and we can only wonder how, well, wonder no more. She had an exclusive with KMB and we are bringing the excerpts below:

Bymbyzleevents: My Name is Abimbola Adeleke – Kazeem, An Indigene of Ondo,born and raised in Lagos.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?

Bymbyzleevents: I am an Event-planner and Coordinator.
 


Kemi Mobuse blog: When did you decide you wanted to become an event Planner?
 
Bymbyzleevents: I decided I wanted to be an Event planner in year 2008 while in the University. I discovered my passion for organizing and coordinating Event
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: Did you now start out right then?
 


Bymbyzleevents: Yes I did, but I started by getting ushers for Events. I trained them & designed their costumes. After couple of months , I decided to get my Business Name registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C)




Kemi Mobuse blog: And do you still train ushers now?
 
Bymbyzleevents: Yes. I still train Ushers for Events.
 


Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the name of your brand?
 
Bymbyzleevents: My brand is BymbyzleEvents!!!
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: How old can you say your brand is now, officially?
 
Bymbyzleevents: My brand is officially 6 years.
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: How was starting out for you, capital wise?
 
Bymbyzleevents: Starting up for me wasn't Capital intensive because Event business does not require much to start off.
 



Kemi Mobuse blog: What are the most important skills that an event planner needs to possess?
 
Bymbyzleevents: The Important Skills an Event planner should posses are: 1: Passion, 2: Excellent Time Management, 3: Creativity , 4: Negotiating Skills , 5: Budgeting Skills , 6: Multi-tasking 7: Communication Skills , 8: Strong willed and level headed 9: Charisma 10: Resourcefulness and good Leadership skills.
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you view as the most difficult struggles of an event planner?

Bymbyzleevents: My opinion about the difficult struggles of an event planner are : 1: a Demanding customers or Clients, who have extraordinarily high expectations with an almost impossible deadline.

2: To ensure that all tasks and priorities are clearly organized and deadlines are met no matter how tough the task.
 


Kemi Mobuse blog: Do you remember your first job?
 
Bymbyzleevents: Yes I do, I was requested to provide 20 ushers for an Event held at Eko Hotel by Flour Mills Nig in year 2009.
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: How has been an event planner changed you?
 
Bymbyzleevents: Well, been an Event Planner has improved my communication skills. 2: I have learnt how to manage and plan my time wisely. 3: I have learnt how to multi task. 4: I have learnt how to design a budget template for events and I can also design floor plans and decorations for events and lots more.
 


Kemi Mobuse blog: Is this your only source of livelihood?
 
Bymbyzleevents: No it's not, I'm also a Career woman

Kemi Mobuse blog: Where do you see in five years?
 
Bymbyzleevents: In Five years time from now, I see BymbyzleEvents amongst the Top 5 events company in Lagos. BymbyzleEvents would have expanded into a full blown events organization with its own training school, Rentals and warehouse.
 
Kemi Mobuse blog: Any advice for future entrepreneurs
 
Bymbyzleevents: For future entrepreneurs, my advice for them is to remain focused on their dreams...they should start small and grow...and they should continually learn about their chosen field to remain relevant, lastly they should look for mentors in their chosen field to guide and advice them.
