By Kemi Mobuse - Monday, March 14, 2016
Being healthy and fit, doesn't have to take too much toils on you physically, another option is to eat well and eat healthy, that is why KMB approached Divine Delights to show us the how and we are left salivating for more...
Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?
Fitandproper
Foodie: My name is Chidinma Eziefule. I'm
a Lawyer by profession.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Are you into business as
well? And which is it?
Fitandproper
Foodie: O, yes! I'm an extreme foodie, so
it was only natural for me to venture into something food-related. I make
healthy snacks for children and adults alike from pure fruit. They're called
Frollies!
Kemi Mobuse blog: Is Frollie the name of your
brand as well?
Fitandproper
Foodie: The name of the brand is Divine
Delights, that might change soon as I'm in talks with working under an
agro-processing company
Kemi Mobuse blog: And what is a foodie, or
who?
Fitandproper Foodie: A foodie, to me, is someone who appreciates good food in ANY form, and is willing to try anything edible even once

Kemi Mobuse blog: Hmmmm, nice, well, I think
d term can apply to me, lol!
Kemi Mobuse blog: What made you go into
making healthy snacks for children?/you are a mum I presume?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Hmmm, that's a loaded question.
I'm not a mum...yet! I came up with healthy snacks like these, first and
foremost, for the child in ME. I love sweets, but I needed to come up with
healthy alternatives that wouldn’t compromise my weight or fertility. Also, my
friend's 3 year old son is the definition of 'Picky Eater' and when I was still
making Frollies for myself; he came around with his mum and ate 4 of them.
That's when I figured I might as well make it available for sale
Kemi Mobuse blog: Hmmm, that's really deep. So,
I guess it's OK, to say you are your own inspiration?
Fitandproper
Foodie: I guess so 😀
Kemi Mobuse blog: Does combining both your
business and job not affect you or either one?
Fitandproper
Foodie: To be honest, not really. I work
for my husband, so I have some leeway. He's very supportive of my ideas so I
can work from home some of the time. I'm lucky in that regard.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Very lucky! How was the
market reception since you started out?
Fitandproper
Foodie: It has been good, and it has been
God. Considering the fact that the product is less than a month old, I'm very
thankful so far. Friends, family, neighbours, and even people I don't know have
patronized me so far. This makes me very happy, considering the fact that I haven't really advertised it, due to the
fact that I'm still working on packaging details. Thank God for social
media!
Even As we speak, I'm processing an order to be sent to Ghana. Like I said, it has been God.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is your
motivation?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Fulfillment. I want to show my
children, when they come, that they can achieve whatsoever they set their minds
to.I also don't mind having 1/50th of Dangote's fortune 😂😄
Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the typical day in
the life of divine delights CEO?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Wake up, pop into the office for
about 1 hour, then, depending on what day of the week it is, I either head to
the fruit market, or straight home to start washing, chopping, and pureeing
fruit for the Frollies. I'm usually neck deep in fruit till about 1pm. Then I
check in with the office, send off some emails or draw up some documents, then
check the progress of the different Frollies
Fitandproper
Foodie: My day typically ends at 4pm, when
I send out any orders for the day, then sleep!
Kemi Mobuse blog: What is your favourite
aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Fitandproper
Foodie: I can control my work hours!!!
Kemi Mobuse blog: Ha-ha! You seem super happy
to say that
Fitandproper
Foodie: Yes, I am.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is your own definition
of success?
Fitandproper
Foodie: The day someone will say to me
"I aspire to be like you", then I will I have reached my zenith
Kemi Mobuse blog: And how do you plan to get
there?
Fitandproper
Foodie: With God, with continuous product
improvement and enhancement, with the help of other entrepreneurs in the field
of agriculture and agro-processing, and with the good people of the media, like
yourself
Kemi Mobuse blog: I like your zeal! If you were
given a chance to start over, what will you change?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Definitely with my existing and
potential customers. I might as well eat all the Frollies if not for them
I would probably have started much earlier. Much much earlier
I would probably have started much earlier. Much much earlier
Kemi Mobuse blog: So, the business is that
good?
Fitandproper Foodie: You know when you're doing something that
makes you happy, and also makes other people happy, you just wonder why you
wasted so much time prior to...
Kemi Mobuse blog: I understand
perfectly
Kemi Mobuse blog: How has been an
entrepreneur affected your family life?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Like I said earlier, I can
control my work hours, that means I'm home to make breakfast and dinner, and I
can still rest enough before my husband comes home so I can gist well with him
about the day. So, thus far, it's been good. I know when the babies start coming,
it will get crazy!
Kemi Mobuse blog: Do you have a eating plan or menu or something for weight loss as well?
Kemi Mobuse blog: Do you have a eating plan or menu or something for weight loss as well?
Fitandproper
Foodie: For myself, or for others?
Kemi Mobuse blog: Others
Fitandproper
Foodie: O, yes. Over time, I've come up
with different plans for weight loss and weight management. Every individual
has a different dietary need, so I'm wary about putting up umbrella eating
plans. For instance, carbohydrates are a necessity for most people, but lately,
when I eat carbs (whether processed or not, apart from carbs in beans and
vegetables), my ankles swell. Other people can eat carbs, but may just need to
exercise portion control. It's important to discover what foods are good for
your body
Kemi Mobuse blog: And what are the benefits
of your plans?
Fitandproper
Foodie: It depends on what the individual
wants-weight loss, weight management, eating better, even weight gain!
Kemi Mobuse blog: How has this business
changed you as a person?
Fitandproper
Foodie: I haven't really noticed anything
yet. Maybe a month is too short to notice. I'm hoping meeting people and having
to advertise my products helps me get rid of some of my shyness though
Kemi Mobuse blog: Looool! What advice will
you give to upcoming entrepreneurs?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Do it because you're passionate
about it, not because you see another doing it and succeeding. That way, when
the inevitable problems arise, your passion will fuel you into finding ways to
surmount said problems.
Kemi Mobuse blog: How can your future clients
contact you?
Fitandproper
Foodie: Via Whatsapp on 08100494863 or Instagram @fitandproperfoodie.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Thanks for your time.
Fitandproper Foodie: Thank you too.
