Who says you can't combine Catering with another Passion? I'm both a Caterer and Perfumer!
By Kemi Mobuse - Wednesday, March 16, 2016
Miss Veronica Kelle Oyogoa was featured here on this blog as a perfumer, read here. She calls herself a multi-passionate entrepreneur, and i have no doubt in my mind that this is a young lady who knows exactly what she wants and have no qualms about going after it.
I can't help, but go after her again, to know how she was able to combine both and is really successful at both.
Excepts below....:
Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you afresh?
Kelle Cious: My name is Veronica Kelle Oyogoa, I am a
multi- passionate entrepreneur.
Kemi Mobuse blog: You recently launched your fragrance business and now, I heard you also do mocktails. Does that mean you have a kitchen?
Kemi Mobuse blog: You recently launched your fragrance business and now, I heard you also do mocktails. Does that mean you have a kitchen?
Kelle Cious: Yes I recently launched my fragrance
business and I am also a caterer. Catering outfit is Aarez Deliz and Drinks, and it has been in operation since 2011
officially. We specialize in cocktails, Mocktails, small chops, Chinese
cuisine, Nigerian cuisine and general catering services. We provide both indoor
and outdoor services.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Why the catering business?
Both are on different spheres entirely.
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Yes they are. I have always been in the food business from
childhood. I love to cook and entertain so it's always been part of me. So I
decided in 2011 to make it an official business rather than just something I do
off and on.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Is Aarez" from your
name?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Yes it is from my full name Aarekelle.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Your business has been in
existence since 2011, wow, that's a long time. Your fragrance business is how
old again?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Kellecious fragrance is about a year
old.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Does the one not affect the
other especially when you have pending orders on both sides?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: No it doesn’t, for the perfumery I have a cycle of production, bottling and labeling,
so it's all planned accordingly, for the catering when I have events,i have
staff that work with me so even on days where I have more than one event, I
have capable staff to handle events in and outside Lagos.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What has being an
entrepreneur taught you as a person?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Hmmmmmm!!!!!! Being an entrepreneur has
taught me to be diligent, hardworking, be passionate about what I do and give
it my all, It has also taught me patience, consistency and self value. The joy
or feeling is inexplicable when I get feedback from clients of how glad they
are with service provided.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What is a typical day in
the life of Aarekelle?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Every day is unique in its own way, but
basically when the alarm goes off at 5:30am I do a quick rundown of what I need
to do for the day, so I pace myself, do my daily morning routine, then start my
day, depends on if it is a work from home day or I need to be at the office or
I have errands to run, work on orders and deliveries, check mails and reply. If
I have food deliveries to make, I do that or am trying out a new recipe or new
fragrance. So basically each day comes with its own activities, so all I do is
make sure I get to do what I set out to do for the day.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What 3 advice would you
give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Be passionate about what you do, always
improve yourself either by theoretical or practical training, be your greatest
cheerleader / fan and critic.
Kemi Mobuse blog: How can you be contacted
for catering?
Aarez Deliz and Drinks: Aarezdelizanddrinks@hotmail.com, Call 08034001662.
