I met the CEO of XTrim Clothing back then in 2002, he has always strike me as a business minded individual, albeit with an amiable personality, i was therefore not in the least surprised, when he set out to start his Fashion Label three years after, while just in his 2nd year in the University.
Olalekan Rhazak Adegbite’s vision of birthing the Xtrim Clothing line is all about celebrating significance in fashion.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do? what the
name of your brand
xtrim Clothings: I am an image consultant, and the CEO of
Xtrim clothing company located here in Lagos, Nigeria
Kemi Mobuse blog: Xtrim is a unique name,
what is the inspiration behind it?
xtrim Clothings: Xtrim is a fusion of 2 words, X in extraordinary, then the trim is from
fabric trimming 'XTRIM'. I.e. EXTRAORDINARY TRIM, in essence, XTRIM©.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What does being an image
consultant entail?
xtrim Clothings: Image consultancy is broad, more of a
bespoke combined words. The elementary relation to what I do is basically
having to ensure that people look good and sharp irrespective of whatever
controversial condition they find themselves in.
Kemi Mobuse blog: How did you venture into
this field? To me, you would make a very good banker, lol!
xtrim Clothings: Well, think I would rather be a spokesperson
than been a banker😀
xtrim Clothings: The sincere truth is; I have a passion for fashion,
I have been a freak from childhood for
American designers and having to see people look good and sharp with the
correct sense of combination, I was really inspired.
Kemi Mobuse Blog: When did you discover you
love making clothes?
Xtrim Clothings: I would rather say, it discovered me,
because I just found myself in it. I could consciously say that, I have got a
passion for fashion and because I am naturally a business person, I decided to
pursue my passion.
Kemi Mobuse Blog: So it’s safe to say, you’d always loved
Fashion?
Xtrim Clothings: Yes!
I’ve always loved Fashion. And the passion I have for it? The truth is, I
don’t have the right word to express it.
Kemi Mobuse blog: How old is your brand now,
and how was the market reception since inception?
xtrim Clothings: Xtrim Clothings is 11 years old this 1st
of March 2016 and the Reception hase been super GRACE filled!
Kemi Mobuse blog: I thought you started out
while we were in school, back then in university days?
xtrim Clothings: I started in my 2nd year in university and
officially had it registered in 2007.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What is your current staff strength?
xtrim Clothings: The
current Staff strength is 10 staff.
Kemi Mobuse blog: And what challenges have
you experienced since starting out?
xtrim Clothings: The major challenges has been the normal
inabilities caused by the country: power, having to manage uneducated
folks(with totally diff school of thoughts),encouraging financial institutions
etc........
Kemi Mobuse blog: What has been an
entrepreneur taught you?
xtrim Clothings: Patience! And a lot of it.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is your motivation to
succeed? And what is your own definition of success?
xtrim Clothings: My motivation is, in as much as growth could
seem slow, movement from one level to the other has been motivating. The belief
that; IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER and my definition of success is; the happiness I
get in every step I take in my walk in business.
Kemi Mobuse blog: How has building a brand
impacted on your education?
xtrim Clothings: One of my then exhibitions held in Unaab,
where I school and I had to get all stuffs to be exhibited done before the d-
date, I ended up finishing late which resulted to me, boarding 3 vehicles from
Lagos to Abeokuta and the last been a cabstar truck conveying charcoals,lol!
Thus, s he result of schooling and building a brand at the same, it wasn't easy
but thank God for today.

a typical day for xtrim CEO?
xtrim Clothings: Typical day, is to wake up, do normal stuffs
like everyone would, get to the office, go through the previous day work,
sketching new fabrics that are to be worked on and monitor all process to
detail.

to upcoming entrepreneurs?
xtrim Clothings: Knowing what they really want, patiently
nursing it and repeating till its
manifestation to the world!
