By Kemi Mobuse - Thursday, March 17, 2016

The Food Industry is getting very more interesting daily. If cooking is your passion, and you have the zeal to withstand the stress that comes with it, it’s a passion that can easily be monetized and will certainly bear fruit.

While looking around on Instagram, I came across a sumptuous looking bowl of soup, I couldn’t resist the urge to dip deeper and try to know the person who can cook this well.

It turned out to be an amazing multi talented lady, and I can say her brand is aptly named.
KMB had the privilege of getting her to have a long dialogue with us….Read below………..

Kemi Mobuse blog: Good Morning, can we meet you?
Aroma9ja: Good morning,I'm Karima Ibraheem-Sorinola

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?
Aroma9ja: I'm the CEO of Aroma9ja - a companyy that offers catering services and Carey's Signature a fashion retailer

Kemi Mobuse blog: So you are both fashion retailer and a caterer? Those two business are totally unrelated.
Aroma9ja: Yes i am

Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired you venturing into them?

Aroma9ja: Yes they are not related, but they are passion that turned into profitable business. Those are the two things I love most.

Kemi Mobuse blog: How old are both businesses?
Aroma9ja: Fashion is over 7years  & the catering services for over 2years now
Kemi Mobuse blog: And the market reception for both since starting out?
Aroma9ja: It has been great; we keep growing by the day.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What is a typical day with running both businesses like?
Aroma9ja: Hectic! but it's always worth it. As we get most of our sales leads online, we take orders for both businesses, arrange client's order and deliver promptly.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Tell me, how was starting out like, can you walk us through your journey?
Aroma9ja: Fashion started from my university days at Lagos state university(LASU). Lots of friends and family relied on me for fashion tips and latest trends so I decided to start a fashion line and it's been awesome since then, while I think it’s about the same thing for Aroma9ja , i have been the " unpaid chef " since childhood . People came to me for cooking lesson and tips so i turned it into a profitable venture and the response has been overwhelming in the short period of time that i started doing this professionally.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What lesson have you learnt, from that journey that has helped shape you today?
Aroma9ja: Hardwork and perseverance pays. You need to keep trying till it falls through and when it does, you need to keep pushing for greater standards.

Kemi Mobuse blog: If you were given a chance to start all over again, what would you do differently?
Aroma9ja: Nothing really, because i love the way i started & the fact that i make mistakes & learn from it makes the business better/grow. No regrets at all.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the worse advice you have been given since you started?

Aroma9ja: Well, for fashions don’t go into it, there are lots of fashion retailers out there and i don't think have gotten any negative advice for aroma9ja so far.

Kemi Mobuse blog: And your most memorable experience in both so far?
Aroma9ja: For Aroma9ja it was our first order to the United Kingdom & United States of America while for fashion i really can't point out.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Wow! That's inspiring

Kemi Mobuse blog: What advice will yu give upcoming entrepreneurs?
Aroma9ja: To be passionate, hardworking & be patient and keep learning. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Kemi Mobuse blog: And, how can future clients contact you?
