Are you an entrepreneur who makes "made in Naija"products but finds it difficult getting it to the consumers, why worry yourself, when Gbelo delivery can easily take off the stress of you?
KMB was priviledged to have an interactive session with the co founder of the business venture and here is what we learnt....
Kemi Mobuse blog: Good Evening, can we meet you?
Gbelo Delivery: I am Olumide Olugbade, co-founder of "Gbelo delivery"
Kemi Mobuse blog: Who is the other founder?
Gbelo Delivery: Eddy Udom, a classmate during university days.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Who came up with the business idea?
Gbelo Delivery: I did.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired this line of business?
Gbelo Delivery: Hmmm.... I have been in the logistics line for a period of years now and I discovered that I have a zeal for it. I do not get tired of the troubles involved in the process.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Lol@ getting tired, yours is certainly a unique passion
Gbelo Delivery: haha..... I don't get tired of the wahala involved with the whole processes and my partner is never tired of making sure our IT system is up and running as well has ensuring we have proper online presence on the various social media platforms.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Well-done guys, only a love of business can truly make a partnership work out. So the business is named after you?
Gbelo Delivery: Naming the business was really a tough one for us, but all of a sudden after hours of brainstorming we settled for Gbelo!!!
Kemi Mobuse blog: What does Gbelo mean, is it carry it away?
Gbelo Delivery: "Gbelo" is a yoruba word which means "Carry it away" and carrying something away means from a point A to point B.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Yayyyyyyy! I got it right then, hehe. Guess I have a head for business too based on that, abi?
Gbelo Delivery: hahahaha....
Kemi Mobuse blog: How old is your business now, and how has the market reception been?
Gbelo Delivery: Gbelo!!! is barely 6 months old, and the reception has been good based on the fact that we were able to meet the needs of specific group of people who are in need namely the Cake bakers (helping them transport cakes from the bakery to the customer and Item sellers (moving items from their stores to the customers).

Kemi Mobuse blog: You sound experienced already from the way you talk about the business, and I find that, a little hard to believe, that the business is still quiet young
Gbelo Delivery: Although much of the attention has been focused on the bakers and they are now getting to know that a company which handles cake deliveries exists. We experience ups and down though, but we are determined to keep on moving because we have a goal.
Experience matters, but passion/originality is the most important thing. My passion for logistics has helped me learn/excel in the various organizations where I have worked before now handling position that has to do with logistics and client servicing. Also, originality in the sense of discovering a problem and working towards finding a solution to it thereby creating value.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What challenges have you experienced since inception?
Gbelo Delivery: Challenges has to do with timing, bad roads, traffic..... trust (some bakers still think we delivery cakes with motorcycle whereas, we use cars).
Kemi Mobuse blog: What was the worst advice anyone has given you since inception?
Gbelo Delivery: When I dropped my resignation letter at my place of work, I was advised to save more money before going fully into entrepreneurship. I am happy adding value into other peoples businesses.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Awwww. It's like you just set yourself free ni! That's a really bold move. I applaud your courage
Gbelo Delivery: That is the word "set yourself free" Thank you :)
Kemi Mobuse blog: Ha-ha. Like I said. You may end up taking me as a partner, lol!
Gbelo Delivery: hahahaha......no wahala
Kemi Mobuse blog: How was the start up financial wise?
Gbelo Delivery: We had zero naira when we started, but we had a car. The car was used in strategically running the logistics and we were able to generate funds from there which we used in registering the company. And we have been able to employ drivers/dispatch riders who assist in our daily operations now.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What has been your most memorable experiences since inception?
Gbelo Delivery: The day we got a call from a top notch client who only have top level grade clients as customers. We were like "How did she locate Us" 😗
Kemi Mobuse blog: Awww . what was her response?
Gbelo Delivery: She came across our instagram page and browsed through our website.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Heya, social media helping in networking since the 80s, lol
Gbelo Delivery: Heehehehe....you can say that again
Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you think stands you out from others in the business?
Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you think stands you out from others in the business?
Gbelo Delivery: What made us different is the ability to combine logistics with technology and focusing on the SME's rather than targeting large organisations.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Any advice for future entrepreneurs?
Gbelo Delivery: Do not give up on your dream and never be in a hurry to scale.
Kemi Mobuse blog: And how will you like future clients to contact you?
