Kemi Mobuse: Can we meet you?What do you do?

Royal Popsicles: We are the first all natural Popsicle manufacturing company in Nigeria. We started in 2012 and have been growing since them. Popsicles are also known as ice lollies in different parts of the world.

Our objective is to provide a healthy and yet yummy treat.



Kemi Mobuse: how did you find yourself in the food industry and why Popsicle in particular?

Royal Popsicle: We started with Popsicle because there was a need, there is still a need and no one was really doing anything about it to be honest. We're in a hot climate and Popsicle are so refreshing because of their frozen nature.

Kemi Mobuse: what is the name of your brand, and how old is it?

Royal Popsicles: The brand name is called Royal Pops Popsicle and It's 4 1/2 years old.

Kemi Mobuse: What flavour of Popsicle does your brand manufacture?
Royal Popsicles: We have various flavours. We have exotic flavours like strawberry and berry berry, we have tropical flavours like pineapple-orange, mango, lemonade, and watermelon. We also have poptails i.e. Alcohol infused Popsicles. We have Mojito, daiquiri's, and can make any kind of cocktail into a Popsicle. We also have creamsicles like strawberries and cream, vanilla, banana, and many more.


Kemi Mobuse:Wow!nice one @flavours. How did you start out capital wise? how has the market reception been, then versus now?

Royal Popsicles: We started out very small. In fact our first order was 10 Popsicles. Now we sell 5000 in a month.The reception was good from the start. Quality is key for us. We use only fresh ingredients and 100% fruit

Kemi Mobuse: do you have an outlet? Make by order or also make for special events? "make" for lack of a better word.

Royal Popsicles: We sell on about 20 stores now. Some of them are Spar, City Dia, Mega Plaza. We do all types of events such as birthday parties, weddings, tournaments, school events, and so on.


Kemi Mobuse: What do you plan to achieve with Royal Pops Popsicles in say 5 years?

Royal Popsicles: We plan to make Royal Pops a made in Nigeria brand, a brand that is comparable and even picked over foreign brands because of the great quality and taste of our product. We plan to expand beyond Lagos into other parts of Nigeria and eventually other African Countries.




Kemi Mobuse: what words can you say describes you as an entrepreneur ?

Royal Popsicles: I love being an entrepreneur. Starting something from scratch and building it to point where other people know and love your brand is exciting. It motivates me and encourages me to push harder.

Kemi Mobuse: any advice for upcoming entrepreneurs?

Royal Popsicles: Despite the many challenges of being an entrepreneur in Nigeria I think it's still a great place to do business. My advice to up and coming entrepreneurs would be to work hard, by all means stay encouraged and stay focused. Believe in yourself and your work and just go for it all the way!
