Being a Student didn't stop me from being an entrepreneur and pursuing my passion - CEO Lilly Souvenirs
By Kemi Mobuse - Monday, July 25, 2016
With the awareness of startups ,SME and
the numerable number of success stories we hear nowadays, a lot of college
students are taking up to entrepreneurship. I feel starting a venture in
college has a lot of benefits.
This is a good step in itself to getting a
good start in Life, should the system later fail you, you can always find
something to call yours and have a means of livelihood handy making you totally
independent. And while in school, you may get to meet a potential business
partner or even grow a team who may have the same business interest as you.
Meeting the CEO of Lilly Souvenir’s,
I admired her go-getter spirit and I was determined to get to know her better…and
feel you should too….
Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?
Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
A 300level student in the university. I'm into the provisions and sales of souvenir
for events like weddings, bridal showers, birthdays etc.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired your going into
this business?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
The beauty of these items.....really got to me. And again....I just love the
smiles I see on the faces of guests when they receive these souvenirs. So, I
decided to go into it.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Awww. How did you start
out?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
Actually.... I’m still starting out. I do this based on pre-order. I have a
supplier, on getting orders; she supplies these items to me. But pretty soon,
I’ll get to buy these items within and outside the country on my own.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What major challenges have
you been experiencing in combining your business and schooling?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
Well....for now, it’s not a major challenge, because these goods usually on
weekends, and I deliver straight to my clients.
Kemi Mobuse blog: What has been an
entrepreneur taught you?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
Being an entrepreneur.....wow......well, I’ll say it has given me more sense of
responsibility. Like I get to do this on
my own and my clients depend on me to deliver!!! That's one huge responsibility,
and I love it! 😉 Plus it gets me some cool cash.😉
Kemi Mobuse blog: Any advice for future
entrepreneurs?
Lilly Sourvenirs:
To future entrepreneurs...... Put God first!
Find your motivation.... money is usually the aim but you should love what you do,
and with time you would go places.
Kemi Mobuse blog: Lastly, how can you be
contacted?
