Meet the Beautiful Lady who creates Art & Master pieces from Waste Products packed from refuse Dumps!

Nigerians are extremely talented people who come up with great ideas in other to earn a living. There are stories about young ladies and men who create new made in nigeria products and ideas that can compete with regular businesses.

A young Nigerian lady identified as Beauty Martins has shown how creative she can be with her incredible talent of transforming waste into tangible items. The young lady transforms tyres into household furniture. Martins who is based in Port-Harcourt goes to dumpsites to source for used tyres and turn them into masterpieces that can be used at home. She makes items like table centerpieces, comfortable chairs and so on.

For those who have no idea, what this means;

Waste recycling is the process of converting waste into new materials and items. Recycling can prevent the wastage of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, leading to the reduction of energy usage and air pollution.

Coming across this quote, reminds me powerfully of reasons to be thankful, NO MATTER WHAT!!!. there are so many things I don't have, and I never stop wishing, but when I step back and look at my life, I realize how genuinely lucky I am and on those days, when I forget, I remember the below scenarios and I quickly get myself together once again.....

My favourite food is cake…….. the kind of cake doesn’t matter as long as it’s all cake. 😀😀😀To me; Cake is happiness; I am of the belief that, if you know the way of a cake, then you know the way of happiness! If you have a cake in front of you, you should not look any further for joy.

This right here is why I always wished all my problems were just a piece of cake. Eat it entirely and then it's all gone, Yimu!!! 😝Times without number, I always wanted to have my cake and eat it. But then again, what was i going to do with my cake if not eat it?
Frame it?
Use it as a liner in my underwear drawer?”

From what I have heard and seen so far; If you are lucky enough to have a Cake made for you by Celebrity Cake Designer: Tosin Savage Julien, you will do more than eat the cake: you will actually eat the wrapper too and even beg for more lol!

I had my first experience with Kolo while growing up…….Mum, God Rest her soul, decided to give all six of her Children a Kolo (money saving box}each. Funny thing is, none of the cash given to me ever made its way into my kolo. Mummy; anytime we were given money, with a stern and unsmiling face, will say: Oya, pass me the money and let me keep for you. The little tyke who dares protest among us should consider him/herself a goner….. because, you will hear Mummy murmuring while puttering around, God Knows she is trying, she feeds us, she clothes us, and even buy us things, so what does she need our little change for. Lol! She naturally always forget to mention that, the money for all above mentioned comes from Daddy ohhh!

That experience nevertheless taught me to save, although I never really made a success of it until I got to University. Being a member of FIN, I recently came across saving with Kolo again and all of a sudden, it became a “thing” and one of my New Year resolutions. Coming across Mrs Adenike Adeleye was refreshing for me, because of the great impact that a brand like hers is bound to have on our economy and individuals as well. I was extremely curious to learn more and she was more than delighted to share with us all……read below:

Back in my University Days, I was what you will call a "handyman". I can repair anything repairable, from an Electric Iron, to electric stove to remote control, I can replace an electric socket and easily change plugs. I found myself learning lot of things, the moment I realized I couldn't rely on anyone but myself, forget the boyfriends, they had absolutely no idea what to do with a bad boiling ring let alone an Electric Iron. My Husband on the other hand, also have no idea what to do with them all, but will sha try to scatter everything, despite having no idea how to put them back together, as long as I am not the repairer..all is well with him, Lol!😁😁

When my blender got spoilt however, I realized I had reached the end of my expertise and I had to take it to a repairman. I watched the guy twerk a few things here and there and declared the blender operational!. I was so happy that I was going to make a delicious sauce for dinner that I could barely wait to get home and make use of the blender. On starting the blender however, the cutting blade flew off and I found myself drenched in Blended Pepper. Suffice it to say; the repairman got more than a ear full of angry words from me.

This just goes to show that; the importance of a good artisan cannot be overemphasized. You cannot for instance hire a man who makes shoe to repair your AC. With you all, 2017 was a fulfilling and Blessed Year. I thank God on the behalf of each and everyone of us, for Him to count us worthy to see another year despite all the on goings around the World, It is a rare privilege and I do not take it for Granted.

You guys are the reason, we as a blog, are still standing today, Thank You for going on this journey with us, Thank You for believing in us, despite not knowing what we are doing at times, more importantly, thank You for clicking and reading and sharing. Thank you Peeps, You guys are super Amazing and I am Blessed to have you all.
